Academics
The college daily starts with prayer assembly. Syllabus of KUHS is implemented. Academic planning is done with the coordinators of teaching faculty and nursing administrative officer of Vijaya hospital. Periodical academic review meeting is conducted to ensure the academic performance of individual faculty. We follow student centered teaching learning system and take regular feedback and suggestions and consider if it is genuine

Library
Spacious library is equipped with advanced modern facilities. Provided with internet facilities, photo copier, printer etc. more than 6000 text books national and international journals and online journals are placed for students.
Laboratories
Nursing and advanced medical surgical labs are facilitated with CPR, multifunctional mannequin and other modern equipments.Pediatric lab, OBG lab are equipped with advanced modern equipments like simulators working models etc.Nutrition lab is furnished with all types of normal and therapeutic diet displays..Anatomy lab is displayed with all real human bones and real specimens of human organs and foetus.
Hostel facilities
Students are accommodated in Vijaya women’s hostel, Kottarakkara. Students are provided with good foods in affordable cost and menu is prepared considering the suggestion of students. Indoor and outdoor game facilities are available in the hostel and living rooms are well furnished with all facilities.
Co curricular activities
College encourage the students for extracurricular activities and provide platform to prove their talents. College conducts special events as a recreational program. Observed special health days and organize several competitions to enhance their learning ability. Students periodically release college magazine.

We have modern A V Aids such as LCD Projectors, Computers, TV, DVD Players, Models, Charts, Specimens, and Audio aids etc.
Transport facilities
Vijaya college of nursing has 3 college buses for providing conveyance for students going to college affiliated hospital and community.

Good auditorium which accommodates about 300 people and equipped with all modern facilities and audio system.
Examination Centre
Our institution is a recognized examination centre for M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic Nursing courses. College has an examination hall which can accommodate 200 students. Examination hall is facilitated with electronic devices such as mobile jammer to cut down the interruption during the examination.
Counseling unit
we have counseling unit , weak and problematic students are called for counseling and their parents also involved as a supportive system to solve their problems.
Recreational facilities
we regularly celebrate fresher’s day, farewell, Onam, Christmas festivals. Students are encouraged to involve in sports ,games, conducting film fest, food fest, social day etc.
College union and SNA
these units are acting as a mediators of college authorities and students. Students requests and suggestions are considered for their welfare.

Govt Taluk hospital, Kottarakkara
First referral, 217 bedded hospital just 3 Km away from college and where the students are provided clinical training with patients directly. The hospital is having 100% bed occupancy. Different specifications like ICUs, critical care unit, Laboratory, Blood bank, Dialysis unit, Palliative care etc are available and specialty wise care is given to patients. The hospital is having high patient turnover in OP also.

Mental health centre ( Psychiatric hospital Trivandrum)
It is a 507 bedded hospital covering 36 acres with 34 wards, and excellent environment. Mentally ill patients from all over the country are admitted here and receive excellent treatment and care. Community health centre Kulakkada
It is the Govt. CHC for vettikkavala Grama panchayath, under which 6 primary health centers are functioning. Students are provided field training and community health practices in rural area under the aegis of CHC Kulakkada.
